Parts for Spiral Balance and Tilt Window

A quick learner from Windber, Pa says:
I'm trying to repair several windows and could use some help in identifying parts. The name on the window is Mastic. I've included pics.

- I need the tilt locks.
- I need tilt spiral balances that are 26". The tube measures 1/2" and the color looks to be blue.
- need help in identifying the pivot lock shoe in the pic.
- I need the metal piece that inserts into the pivot lock shoe.

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks for reaching out! I believe the tilt lock you are referring to is what we we call tilt latches. I cannot identify the proper replacement hardware without seeing a photo of your existing latches, unfortunately. Is there any chance we can see the old ones? Are they all missing?

In regard to your spiral balances, based on the measurements  I recommend our S600-26, 5/8" Spiral Balance. This also shows as 9/16", which is close to the 1/2" measurement you are seeing. You'll need to select the blue tip.

Your pivot shoe looks like it could be our 15-046 but you'll need to confirm the dimensions to determine that this pivot shoe is the right fit for you.

The piece that inserts into the shoe is the pivot bar. I recommend starting with comparing the 26-040 to your existing hardware. You'll especially want to verify the screw hole position. Yours might be a bit further up. If it is, I'm confident we'll have a match, we'll just need to know the hole position measurement.

Here's a pic of one of the tile latches. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for your photo. It does give an idea of what we might expect to be able to recommend, however, I'll need to see the button removed from the window. To determine if we have a replacement that would work for you, I'll need to see the prongs that snap into your internal latch.

Are you able to provide a photo of those prongs?

A quick learner from Windber, Pa says:
I have one that has one broken prong. I've attached the pic. Hope this helps.

Thanks again,
Tom

Take a look at our 26-119 and 26-235 release levers. Compare the dimensions on our product pages to yours to determine if one of these options could work for you. You may need to find an undamaged version to confirm the measurements.

If not, you may need to consider conversion to surface mount tilt latches such as our 26-228 and 26-229 . See the video below.

Here's a pic and measurements of the pivot bar. It has three screw holes but only the end holes have screws.

Thanks,
Tom

So long as the installation hole measurement for the 26-040 matches the hole placement from your existing pivot bar, it should work fine as a replacement.

If you are concerned about the design of the part, you can also take a look at part 26-083.
