Pella French Door Screen Locking Bolt Top and Bottom

We need 2 sets of the locking bolt for the bottom of our Pella French Doors.

Pella Hinged Screen Door Astragal Hardware Kit.
Are the Pins made out of Plastic or metal? I can't seem to keep the plastic one from breaking. I would like Metal ones.

The pin components of the 40-050 kit are unfortunately only made in plastic. No metal version of this product has ever been made. 

We unfortunately don't have any say as to what materials are used in the manufacture of these parts. We can only sell what Pella makes. As they are genuine Pella brand parts, you would need to contact them directly to determine if a metal version is at all possible.
