Plain channel with a knife lock shoe

A home owner from Michigan says:
Steve says this is a custom combo balance.
The channel measures 27". The stamp on the side is - J 26 TG

I don't have the exact weight of the sash. It is a large window. Is the TG stamp close enough? I can travel to the house it's in to weigh it if necessary.

The top is secured with one screw that goes through the small bracket in the channel that's in the picture.

I only need 2.

Thanks,
Randy

Hi there, Randy.

Thanks for contacting us. At first glance, this looks like it could be our Series 751 balance. However, it looks like your metal channel may be squared off instead of ribbed. Can you show us a photo of the metal channel, straight on, to confirm? You can use the photos on the page here as a reference for what I mean.

The 26TG stamp doesn't match up with any of our options though. We'll need you to weigh the window sash on a scale and get back to us with the precise weight, I'm afraid.

A home owner from Michigan says:
Hello Emily,
The sash is 25 pounds.
The channel is not ribbed.

Thank you,
Randy

Thank you kindly for getting back to me, Randy. This will indeed need to be a custom order based on the photos and information you've given us. What we'll do is take the S770-27 plain channel balance with the 27D stamp and swap out the terminal clip for the 15-014 knife lock shoe. A pair of balances with the 27D stamp will support a sash weighing 22 to 26 pounds. Just note that our balance does not come with the metal bracket shown in your first photo.

Does this sound good to you? If so, I've just emailed you a purchase link and price quote for (2) balances that you can use to place an order on our website. Please let me know if you have any questions!

A home owner from Michigan says:
Hi Emily,
This looks great. I've added 4 more shoes to this order and will place the order now.
Thank you for all your help.
