A home owner from Burbank, CA says:
I have a Plygem window
1. Would not stay up. Coil part broken
2. Similar problem with 2nd window, but coil is different size.
Plygem was not helping with parts and I hope you will. Thank you.

Pictures attached.

Hello,

I believe that we can help but we would like to see a photo of the pivot shoes that your coil springs anchor to. If the two windows use different size coil springs, that would indicate that they use different balances, so we would need to see the pivot shoe from both windows. That will help us confirm which coil springs would be compatible. Thank you!

A home owner from Burbank, CA says:
Good day. It took me a long time. Finally photos. Please assist or advise if more info required.

Thanks for getting back to us. We offer the Certainteed 15-192 pivot shoe, which uses the S170 and S171 coil springs, along with the parts listed under the related items section of the 15-192 product page. Please note that some customers have reported that they needed to shave the front of the shoe down to install it in their window jamb.

We also offer a conversion video shown below that works for both Certainteed and Simonton windows that use this type of assembly. Take a look and review the full process below to see which option you'd prefer for your repair.

Good morning, on the side was small stick-like part that broke and missing. I need to replace it, please. Window is by Plygem.

I do not recognize the part shown in your most recent photo. If you could show us where it installs in your window and elaborate on the function of the part, that would help us confirm if we carry a possible replacement.

A quick learner says:
This last part locks window in its place.

It looks like you need new pivot bars. It's tough to be sure without seeing the position of the pivot end that engages with the shoe but your part reminds me of the CertainTeed 26-353 at first glance. Carefully review the dimensions below to see how they compare to an undamaged version of your part. If you notice any discrepancies, please get back to us with additional photos and your exact measurements written out. Thank you!
