Regency Window Swing Latch

A quick learner from California says:
Our windows face West and get very hot in the summer. They are 28 years old and one of the latches doesn't reach under the window. It pushes the window out. Please see the photos for length and dimension.

What part do you recommend? Thank you.

Hello, thank you for posting,

I am going to have one of our senior experts review to see if we carry a part that can fix this issue. I will be in contact as soon as more information is available. Thank you for your patience!

Hello,

Your lock is similar to our 90-005, where the tongue extends about a 1/4". So try this, remove both sashes if you have a double hung and inspect the inter locks for dirt or bent edges that is preventing the sashes to mesh, so the tongue of the lock can slide under the top sash. If that doesn't help consider our 90-072 lock where the screw holes are set back, 3/8". This would give the tongue more length to lock under the top sash.

Let us know what you think!
