Repair or replace window track/balance

A handy person from Westport, CT 06880 says:

My windows are double hung 8 pane wood circa 1984 tilt out windows that slide on two full length plastic tracks that contain two 18 1/2" springs for balancing the windows. Tracks are 1 1/4" wide and approximately 53 1/2" long. Looking to repair or replace tracks on 6 or so windows

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Hey Donald. The fricton shoe and our pivot pin is the 15-104 and 20-016. However, we cannot replace this spring. This is a setup where a naked spring is built directly into the jamb liner of the window. Contact a mill work in your area. They should be able to replace this whole setup for you. Let me know if you have any other questions.
