Shelf bracket help

A quick learner from Lascassas, Tennessee says:
Hello! I'm trying to find replacement brackets for my kitchen cabinets and have hit a dead end. My cabinets are circa 1988 and the dowels that go into the holes are slightly larger than the replacement ones I find. The original dowels are also shorter than replacements so new pegs do not fit fully into the hole and sit flush. I have tried them anyway and have had shelves fail leading to many broken dishes. I've tried drilling to holes deeper, but this is a risky endeavor with laminate sides and even then, the hole diameter is slightly too large for the standard size replacement brackets. I'm considering drilling and just gluing replacement brackets into place, but I'd love to find replacement brackets that fit since so many of the original brackets are failing now.

Do you have any that might work or any other ideas for me? Thank you!

Hi there!

Thanks for contacting us. Is the clear shelf support shown here your original? If so, our 32-329 looks like it could be a good match. I recommend you carefully review the dimensions and compare them with yours to see how they align.

Hi Emily,

Unfortunately the clear ones are the currently available options on Amazon and Lowe's/Home Depot. The one with the shorter peg are what fit in my cabinets.

Oh, my apologies. Thank you for clarifying that for me. The 32-299, 32-303, 32-305, and 32-313 are our only other options but it looks like the peg on these may be a bit longer than what you need. Have a look and see what you think.
