Simonton parts

A home owner from Ct says:
Need balances for both sides of upper and lower windows. Spring is marked 406. Also need the brackets that attached to the lower window that fit into the cams. There is still a part on the springs but the cams and the other plastic piece that fits around the cams have all fallen down the window tracks

These Simonton balances aren't made anymore, but you can use our Certainteed brand parts to replace them. There's just one small catch, which I'll cover in a minute.

Start by looking at our 15-192 pivot shoe, 15-156 cover, 15-157 drum, and finally the Series 170 and Series 171 coil springs. The video below will tell you how these all interact.

The catch is that the old pivot bar won't work with the metal cam that comes with the 15-192. With that in mind, you need to re-use the one from your old shoe. Make sure to hold onto it.
