Sliding Door Lock

A home owner from Marysville, PA says:
My sliding glass door to my deck has a lock that is very loose, so that when I close the door from outside, it often locks me out. I need to replace at least the lock mechanism (Patent No 3,596,954), and maybe the entire handle/lock.

Thanks for posting. The internal lock resembles our 82-225. Please compare to confirm. If you want to be safe and replace the entire handle set, our 82-005 is functionally very similar (and comes with its own internal lock, so wouldn't need to buy a separate one). The 82-005 has a hole spacing of 4-15/16", so do compare to ensure it matches your old hardware. Let me know what you think.
