slip plate at the top of sliding glass doors that works in connection with child safety handle
Our sliding glass doors have a separate handle on them that must be pulled down to release the door. The handle in turn, through a cable, pulls down a metal flange that fits into the slip plate shown above thus releasing the door. When the door closes the flange slips over the slip plate into the locked position. This plate is broken on one end. Need to replace it and get extras for the other doors in the house. The product appears to be made out of a very strong plastic or composite.

Hello, Unfortunately, I don't believe we can help you with this part. It could be an aftermarket lock but you could check with a locksmith in your area or hardware store to see if they can assist you with a direct replacement. In the meantime, we do carry a type of security lock, our 80-027 and wider 80-029. We also carry our 80-006 patio door security bar. Take a look and see if one of these options could work for you.
