Spiral balance identification

A home owner from Treasure Island, FL says:

I have a 29"x5/8" spiral balance with a purple end cap. I spoke with the order dept regarding availability as you do not show a purple end cap balance on your website. They advised to send pix to tech dept so you can determine if you can special order this part. The window is hurricane resistant, double paned (30"x49") and weighs 62 lbs. Pictures of balance and pivot lock shoes are attached.

Please advise if I can special order this part, the part no. for this special order part and an approximate estimate of how long it will take. I also need to order 2 pivot lock shoes (part no. 15-129) and a spiral balance charging tool for tilt window (part 75-006) on the same order.

Thanks for your help and quick response.

Thanks for contacting us, Gary. Purple is a bit of an odd tip color but not totally unheard of. I've seen it once or twice in the past. This is usually indicative of a heavy duty spring, which seems pretty necessary given how heavy your sash is. 62 pounds for a residential tilt window sash is enormous.

I'm not 100% sure that we can supply the purple tip option, but I'll see what we can do. Please give me a little time to look into it and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Tom-
I appreciate you trying to find me a spiral balancer with a purple end cap for the extra heavy window. If you are not able to find one, can you advise me where else to look? I believe Swisco is the best supplier for these types of window parts so if you don't have two of thes, I'd ppreciate any direction you can give me to find two of them!
Thank you.

Hello, Gary! I have good news: we can supply a balance that will replace your original configuration. It won't be exactly the same, though; notably, it won't have that purple tip we keep talking about. However it will be pre-tensioned to hold precisely 62 pounds. No more, no less. If I were you, I would triple check that weight just to be 100% sure that it's accurate.

Otherwise, we feel confident this will work for you. It will have to be a custom order due to the unique nature of its calibration, so what I'll do now is email you a price quote that will allow you to add 2 of these to your cart. After that, you can checkout as normal.

If you had any questions, or if you wanted to change the quantity, please let me know here and I would be happy to do so.
