Spiral balance old metal foot is broken.

A quick learner from Colchester ct says:

Spiral balance old metal foot is broken. These windows are designed so the "metal foot" is flush to the bottom of the window. I don't know how a newer model spiral balance will be attached at the bot

Question above how does the newer spiral balances attach to a window that has a metal base that is flush to the bottom of the window. The tube is 21" long and 5/8" wide. What product can I use to replace the broken spiral balance. How is it attached?See pic 1&2 pic 3 is the unbroken one

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hello! These old balances of yours haven't been made in a very long time. The good news is that you can use our Series 500 in addition to our 17-012 bracket (sold separately) as an alternative assembly. We've been using these to repair wood windows like yours for decades and we find that they work very well. Look these parts over and let me know if you had any questions.
