Vinyl window springs

A quick learner from Pennsylvania says:
Hello, I need 2 window springs as shown in pictures. The cylinder is plastic and measures 17". Also the window is double hung 21" wide x 34 1/2" length. The spring cap is a tapered blue. Not sure if that matters. Also there is a marking on plastic locking mechanism for spring of 530C. I believe that is what I deciphered.
I would also need any tools needed to replace.

Hello,

We can't be sure of the parts that you need with the original hardware still installed but we've related a few parts on this page for you to review, along with videos to assist you. You'll need to confirm the length and thickness of your balance compared to the (5/8") S600-17 with a blue color option.

As for the pivot shoe, you will need to remove yours from the window channel to compare to the 15-046 (1/2") and the 15-118 (9/16") thick shown below. You will also need the 75-006 charging tool to charge the balances and attach them to the pivot shoes. Thanks for posting and let us know if you have any other questions.

Not sure what taking the parts out will show you. I can measure the spiral balance in place. The shoe seems to be ok. The window is hard to close on one side. Im new to this. What does that 530C tell you? Do you recommend changing spring and sliding lock at same time

You only need to replace the pivot shoes if they are broken. If they are still in good shape, you should be able to reuse them with the new spiral balances. Unfortunately, the 530C stamped on the shoe does not confirm the correct replacement, which is why we include the dimensions of a few similar options in case you needed those parts as well.
