Thanks for reaching out! The metal part you are referring to is the window channel balance. I am confident this hardware can be replaced but I will need a bit more information. It appears you have the Series 765 Channel Balance Sash Support System with a pivot shoe hook on the bottom. This replacement balance also has a screw clip attached to the top. 

To confirm the right replacement for your existing balances, I'll just need to know the length of the metal channel and the stamp from the balance. If your balance does not have a stamp, I'll need to know the exact weight of your sash.

Since the pivot shoes can be see at the top of the sash, I am almost certain your sash is not connected to the shoe. That said, you'll also likely need to replace the pivot shoe or the pivot, possibly both. The shoe we typically recommend using for this balance is the 15-046 and the pivot bar, the 26-040.
