Hello, and thank you for waiting during this busy season. Your old rod-type balance isn't made anymore but our Series 770 can work as a replacement. You'll just need to measure your old assembly and weigh your sash on a scale to determine the length and spring strength option you'll need. There's a chart under the product description on the S770 product page that will tell you what the correct option is based on your sash weight.

A quick learner from Lyman, ME says:
Ok. Great. Thanks for getting back to me.
Sash weighs 20lbs
Assembly length 27 1/4"

Track length 58 5/8"

I need 10

Based on your specifications, I recommend the S770-27 with the 27C spring strength option. A pair of balances with this option will support a sash weighing 17 to 22 pounds. As for the pivot shoe, see if the specifications of the 15-179 match up to your old one. All orders can be placed directly on our website at your convenience.

Thank you for your help. I placed an order for the balances
