Window channel balance

A home owner from Belle Chasse, LA says:
The spring in our window channel balance popped off and created a mess. The channel itself is 39" and marked with 39B. The slider it attaches to looks to be cracked. I think I need a new balance and whatever the slider is called but I can't find an exact match on the site. Looking to replace both sides somce I'll have to do one anyways.

Forget to mention it is a tilt balance. The window tilts inward for cleaning. The shoe/slider thing looks to be part#15-195. Any idea of the proper way to install a new one?

Hello there. This looks like a S795-39 Channel Balance, with a stamp option of 39B. I agree the T-Lock Shoe looks like the 15-195, which comes included with this balance. Just make sure that your balance attaches to the top of the window jamb with a screw clip at the end of that cord. If it happens to use a hook like the 15-198 instead, please send us a picture and let us know, as this is not a stock setup we carry, though we can provide it for you via custom order. The video below shows how to install a Series 795 at the 3 minute 15 second mark. Check it out.

The top is also the 15-198 type hook
