Window channel balance

A quick learner from Florida says:
I need some channel balances for this unit. The windows are from Florida Extruders International They are the Milestone Single Hung Series 1000. The channel is 29" long and 1/2" wide. The spring is 14". The only marking is 28B. It seems similar to your S380 other than it does not have a ramp on the bottom piece. Will that make a difference?

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. We don't sell a shoe like this. It looks like yours may be broken which would account for the "ramp". Can you confirm that for us? It would also be a great help if we could see a photo of a shoe from the balance on the other side of the window, or an identical window.

A quick learner from Florida says:
The shoe looks the same on the others. I don't think it is broken. I guess I could reuse the shoes from my old one. It looks like they are pinned in the same place if everything else looks alright.
A quick learner from Florida says:
Do you sell the springs and the rivets or pins?

That's a very odd style of shoe, we've never seen anything like it. However, you're welcome to purchase the Series 380 and then reuse your old shoe. We have a video tutorial regarding how to replace the fittings which I will post below.

Based on the 28B stamp, you may need the 2820 stamp option for your replacements. A pair of balances with this stamp will support a sash weighing 12 to 16 pounds.
