Window key?

A quick learner from Akron Ohio says:
My tenant has somehow removed the part that holds my windows up when raised. I am not sure of the name of the part we need but it has a 5 in an oval on top.

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

The part shown in your photos is referred to as a pivot bar, which connects the bottom corners of the window sash to the jamb. We have seen yours in the part but, unfortunately, we have never been able to find an exact match.

Past customers have successfully used our 26-438 as a replacement. The major difference between your part and ours is the shape of the tip, which would mean that you would need to grind down the "collar" of the tip so that it's flat like the original. Take a look and see what you think. Thanks for posting!
