broken window part

A home owner from Ooltewah, Tn says:
We have a bathroom window that is broken. The bottom part of the window folds out so that it can be cleaned. There is a spring loaded slide on both sides. The slide is metal and is silver in color. It has the following writing on both sides and is 16 inches long (16DC BSI). This part at the bottom appears to be plastic and broken on one or both sides.

Thanks for posting. See our S795-16 Channel Balance. Just make sure that the top clip that screws into the window track matches what your old balance has, as some variants of our Series 795 have a hook at the top of the cord that attaches to a hole in the jamb track instead. If that's the case, send us a picture of this hook and the hole in the track it attaches to.

You'll also want to make sure that your balance's T-Lock Shoe matches the specifications of the shoe that comes installed with our Series 795 out of the box, the 15-195. If it instead matches the specifications of our 15-194 or 15-195B, you can buy these shoes separately and swap out the 15-195.

Finally, you'll need to choose a stamp option that reflects the weight range your window sash falls into. I'm a little uncertain of your old balance's stamp code without seeing a picture of it, but if 16D are for the first digits, then you may need a stamp option of 16D, for a window sash in the weight range of 16 through 19 lbs. If you're uncertain, weigh your window sash, then match that exact weight with one of the weight ranges listed on the product page. Let us know if you need anything else.
