color identification for spiral balance

A handy person from Ocala Florida says:

34" long plastic tube spiral balance 3/8" wide. Window sash is 36" x 36" double glazed aluminum frame. About 16 years old we think MI windows. We can't tell if the tip color is yellow or white that has been yellowed with age. We don't have a way to weigh the sash. Can you help us.

Thanks Geoff

Hi, Geoff.

Thanks for reaching out to us. If the plastic tube is 3/8" in diameter then you'd want the Series 900. The tip on your old balance appears to be white which may translate to the red tip option. I know you said you don't have a way to weigh the window sash but I'm afraid that's the only way to verify if the red tip option will work for the sash.
