crank socket for opening and closin skylight

A quick learner from Bound Brook NJ says:
the socket for the crank hook shaft of my skylight is made of some kind of rubber and has snapped off

Thanks for posting. Without photos, I can't be quite sure what you have, but it sounds like the skylight operator might need to be replaced. We carry one type of skylight operator, the 39-379. Take a look at its specifications and see if you think this might work for you. Also see its associated accessories listed on its shop page. Let me know if you have further questions. If this isn't quite right, send us a picture of what you have and we'd be happy to do further research.
