double hung window lock shoe

A home owner from Weaverville, NC says:
Attached are 3 photos of a broken top window lock shoe, a blue insert and measurement of the channel holding the lock shoe. Please recommend a replacement lock shoe (2 are needed, left and right) for this application. Thank you for your assistance.

Thanks for posting. It appears that you have either our Series 600 or our Series 900 spiral balances with a red tip.

To confirm which one you have, you'll need to confirm the length of the plastic tube, not including the red tip. You will also need to confirm the diameter of the tube; the S600 has a 5/8" diameter, the S900 has a 3/8" diameter.

In regard to the shoe, you'll need to confirm the width and the thickness of the shoe to determine the correct replacement.

A home owner from Weaverville, NC says:
Thank you for the prompt reply. My balances are 28 inch long Series 600. The shoes are 1 inch wide and 1/2 inch thick. I'd like to order two each of the balances and shoes, as well as 2 of the small plastic pieces that hide the channel cut outs at the bottom of the upper pane channels, and the tool for charging the new spiral balances. If you could give me instructions how to order those specific parts that would be great.

Thanks for posting. It looks like you'll need the S600-28 with a red tip along with the 15-046 pivot shoe. Carefully review the dimensions below to confirm that it is the correct replacement.

The charging tool you'll need is our tilt window charging tool part 75-006.
