metal roll for window broke

A home owner from East Rochester NY says:
We're not sure of the age of our windows, moved in in 1984, replaced windows, say 1990, the metal roll on the left side broke, I think the roll on the right side also. The number on the metal roll is 335ks. Also will I need new parts or does the new parts work in these older windows? Thanks Mark.

Paul from SWISCO responded:

Many thanks for writing in. It looks like you have the old CertainTeed coil balance system. The 3/4" wide coil spring marked 335 will be our S170-335 5 pound spring. If the old pivot shoe is undamaged, you could reuse it--otherwise, see our 15-192.
