I'm looking for a sliding glass patio door lock - current lever lock shown in attached pics - but I would like to get one with an external key lock if that's an option.

This mortise is commonly used with handle sets that use the 82-310 key lock. If your external handle came with a key lock or has a cut-out to install one, review the specifications below to be sure that it will work with your original handle. If not, we've related a few standard 3-15/16" hole spacing handle sets on this page that can be used with this key lock. Thank you!
