pivot lock shoe size

A quick learner from Virginia Beach, Va. says:
I ordered tilt latches and 27 Series 765 balances. I sized them off of the broken parts. I guessed at the Pivot Lock and it appears too big. The broken ones were in so many pieces I could not use it as a guide and through them out. The window does not have a cut out so I'm stumped. The inside of the jamb? Frame? Is 1 inch as best I can measure. Need to reorder as soon as possible. Suggestions Please!

Thanks for posting. To make an accurate recommendation for the pivot shoe, you'd truly need to compare our parts to your original hardware. Since there is not cut out in the frame, you'd be able to make one.

Carefully review the video below for instructions on the cut-out method (I've also included the video for the jamb spreader method as well). Should you chose the method detailed below, be sure to use all appropriate safety measures when making the cut-outs.
