window no longer stays in teh channel

A home owner from jamaica says:
My sash windows no longer stay within teh channel. Were it not for burglar bars, they would drop right out. How do I correct this problem. Pl see photo. The last parts i ordered some years ago were item #S351-23 (channel balance) option 2210. HOpefully that gives you an idea of the type of windows

If the balance springs are still in good shape, the top sash guide could be the issue. They are the two most common problems when the sash falls out as shown in your photos. See our videos below to help you determine if this is the cause of your window problems. If so, we would need to see an undamaged guide removed from the window to compare to our inventory.
