face mount keeper

A home owner from Spokane WA says:
ood afternoon!

I have attached a drawing of the keeper I currently have, unfortunately they are not tall enough to properly latch the window.

I am looking for a replacement keeper that is longer in the 1/2" section where the mounting holes are, estimating an overall height needed of 1-7/8" to 2"?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks much.

We have come across this problem before. Unfortunately, we don't have a taller keeper for you. I still want to see if we can help you, though. Let's start with the most common issue first.

Some companies that manufacture windows won't put metal stiffing bars inside the horizontal bars in the sashes, which in turn causes the bottom rail, top rail, or even both to bow. You might have this problem. Most of the time you can take the sash apart, straighten out the rails and put the sash back together. Hopefully that fixes your problem.
