Door is from 2001 or so. Is a replacement part available, or even an illustration of the inner workings of this part so I can repair it. It will only work in down, locked, position, and the spring falls out (that I think should be attached to pull the 'pin' up). The part is brass, seven inches long and fits into the side end between the two doors. It is roughly a half inch wide.

It sounds like your original part is broken. If it's identical to our 42-006, you can purchase it directly from our site any time you wish.
