loose latch

A quick learner from Connecticut says:
How loose is the lever part of the latch supposed to be in the piece? We have one lock in our house where the lever piece can be lifted right off the window mounting piece when the window is unlocked. Many others seem loose when you unlock the window and jiggle the lever. Is this normal? Is the lever supposed to be connected to the mounting piece?

Your Andersen windows were made around 1992, so the locks are wearing out where the rivet holds the turning latch to the housing. Unfortunately, Andersen doesn't sell your style lock anymore and has replaced it with 90-095, which will line up where the old locks were. Let us know if you think that works.
