pella window crank operator

A handy person from staunton va says:
would a the length of the arm effect the window operation, like properly closing etc. We have the the crank operator with the long arm #39-175 , would the operator#39-097
work just as well, its less money.

Tom from SWISCO responded:
The 39-097 and 39-175 are two different operators for two different kinds of windows. If you were to use one over the other, it's possible the window wouldn't close properly, or even at all! We highly recommend sticking with the hardware you have installed now.
