replacement channel balance

A quick learner from san jose, CA says:
I have( 27 4GP CALDWELL )on my channel balance,weight30oz
could I use S350-28 2730channel balance?

Re-weigh your sliding window sash. 30 oz would be less than two pounds, which (at 28" long) would mean you have an impossibly thin window.

To verify a stamp of "27 4" you need to check the weight of the window and length of the metal channel. You should come up with a weight between 19 and 26 pounds and a length of 28". If you do, then you certainly have a 28" balance with a 2740 stamp option. If the length is different, choose a different length. If the window weight is different, consult the chart on the item webpage, which relates the weight to the proper stamp option (From 2710 to 2770).

As for the balance Series, check the plastic attachments. If your top matches the size and shape of the 19-002 and your bottom shoe matches the 15-004, then you need a Series 350.
