Series 796 balance, but with a plastic guide

A handy person from Bella Vista, Ark says:
I need to replace the balance on a tilt window. I think it would be the S795-26. On the top of the old balance is a plastic guide for the string, that is the part that is broken. I don't see that on the replacement part. the plastic guide seems to keep the string in place. what now?

Paul from SWISCO responded:
Is the plastic guide you're referring to attached to the string at the top of the balance? Would you hook it in a hole at the top of window? If not, show me some pictures of what you have and we can try our best to find a good match.

the plastic piece at the top of the balance is connected to the balance and the string goes thru this plastic guide

Hm... can you show me a few pictures? That will give me a better idea of what you have and what can be used to replace it. I don't think you have the Series 795 balance, but just in case I think it'd be best if we look at what you have instead of guessing. Thanks!

im sending some pics of balance, trying to show the top plastic guide to keep string aligned in window channel

is the bottom shoe or window pivot connected to balance or is it a separate piece. if it is connected to the balance, I cant remove it from the channel because it is too wide to come out of channel.

I don't recognize the manufacturer of your balance, but it seems to work on the same principle as our Series 795 tilt window channel balance. For this, you install the bottom T-Lock shoe by twisting it in the window track and screwing the top balance bracket to the hole at top of the window. Could you perhaps get this to work?
