sliding door latch

A home owner from peoria, IL says:

Trying to replace a broken latch, 82-107, purchased from Swisco. Trying to assemble on the door, but can't figure out where the wave washer and push nut end up (please see link below for a picture of the parts). I would appreciate step by step instruction with figures if possible, on how to assemble the latch on the door. Thank you. Girma

Paul from SWISCO responded:
First, remove both handles from the door. With the front inside handle, line up the finger lever that has the plastic washer with the hole. Now, on the back of the handle, place the lever pin in the hole followed by the wave washer, and then push nut to lock it on. You can then reinstall your handles to the door.
A professional from CA says:
The best method I've found.
Place handle on block of wood. Find a socket that fits over the lever. tap it down with a hammer.
