which spiral balance to choose

A quick learner from Florida says:
I have a tilting window, I need to replace both balances and the mechanisms they lock into. The measure 29" long, and are 3/8" in diameter. One has no colored bushing the other has a white bushing. Which do you suggest I purchase.

Best regards,

Ryan

Based on your description, I would recommend our S900-29 spiral balance. You may want to weigh your sash to confirm the best color tip option.

As for the mechanism they lock into, you're probably referring to the pivot shoe. The S900-29 is compatible with a vast array of different shoes, so there's no telling what you have without more information. I would start by looking at our selection of pivot shoes here. See if anything here matches the design and size of your hardware.
