what is the difference between 15-004 and 15-005 bottom guides?

The 15-004 Winged Channel Balance Shoe is 1 3/32" deep, while the 15-005 is only 1" deep. Please make sure to examine the dimensions shown on the product page and compare them to your own hardware.

Okay thanks for your response but I am not sure as to how to go about measuring this. When you say deep, do you mean the vertical measure from top to bottom of the balance? Or am I supposed to measure the base of the shoe...which is slightly angled and would sit horizontally at the bottom when installed in the window assembly.
