Removing Channel Balances

1. Remove sash stop from top of jamb, (not all windows have sash stops).
   

2. Pop the take-out clips on both sides.
   

3. Raise the sash above the bottom balance guides; push sash to left or right and swing out.
   

4. Take hold and push down on balance until top guide is clear of take-out clip. Remove terminal clip from square hole in jamb.

1. Insert terminal clip in square hole located in jamb. Push down on balance and secure under the take-out clip. Repeat on opposite side.
   

2. Position right or left side of sash into jamb, above bottom balance guide. Swing opposite side into alignment with frame. Lower sash to engage balance. Snap take-out clips back into jamb and re-install sash stops, (not all windows have sash stops).
   

3. Recommendation: replace both balances on each window
