Nailing Fin
A protruding portion of the frame of a window or door that allows the unit to be secured in a structure by driving nails (or screws) through it and into the framing of the structure. (See Integral Fin Window)
Nite Latch
Hardware which, when extended, restricts the sash opening to a predetermined dimension.
Nominal Size
The name of the size of a door. (See Call Out Size)
Non-Rising-Pin (NRP)
A pin inserted into a hinge that cannot be removed. Used mainly where security is needed, so that the pin cannot be removed, and door removed from opening. On exterior doors which open outward, the pin is on the outside of the building. In this case, these pins may be used more often.
Nuview
A window style where the fixed lite is larger than the operable lite.
