RevealA protrusion on the head and jambs of a window frame, parallel to the wall of the structure allowing room for final trim within the opening in the wall.
RiseIn a window with a curved head, the vertical distance from the uppermost point of the curve to the top of the shorter jamb, if the jambs are different heights.

The rough sill at the bottom is supported by cripples. A rough opening is generally greater in width and height than the window or door unit. The framed opening in a wall into which a window or door unit is to be installed.
