My door has 6 holes in it, top 3 are, 7/8" between them, the same for the lower 3 holes, there is 1 3/8" between each set of holes. Will the old style shown above ( to the right of the 2 parts shown) fit with no extra drilling?

Take a look at the installation instructions for the 40-095 Forever storm door handle lock. Near the bottom of the page is a template for the necessary installation holes.

I have a customer what has a Forever Door serial # 1623847. The handle on the front is one piece with the lock at the top. Over all measurement is 6 7/8". The key cylinder is 1 1/2" from the top to the center and 4 1/2" from the top to the center of the knob. Inside the lock assembly & turn button are seperate from the push handle. QUESTION: Will this new style 40-095 fit and replace the old style that is on the door now???
Paul from SWISCO.com responded:

I tried finding the old version of this handle to measure but I could not find one. I do not know the measurements you requested of the older style Forever storm door handle set, so I do not know if you have the same old style handle set or not. If it were the same one as pictured in the 40-095 product photo, the 40-095 will fit.

I only need the inside locking mechanism. I notice that the spindle on this lock is thicker than average locks which is presenting a problem for me since home depot only carries locks with the skinnier spindles. What are my options as far as parts are concerned since I need an inside lock mechanism with a thicker than average spindle?

You are correct, that is a very large spindle. There is not any exact replacement for the inside part. "Forever" only sells the lock complete. However, take a look at 40-150 inside lock, that will take a larger spindle, but it is a turning handle and not a push. I myself have never tried it and cannot tell you that it will work.

I have the 'Old style' door handle. The inside handle/lever broke, can just the inside handle/lever be replaced? I don't want to change the entire door handle.

If it is the older style handled picture, you may be able to use part 40-145. However, you may need to shim up the 40-145 latch to meet the striker. It might not be too easy but I have gotten it to work in the past.
