I have an older Sears 3 panel shower door. The spline on the doors is clear and very cruddy so it needs to be replaced. How do you determine the thickness of the glass without taking the whole thing apart? And, could I use the size you have for a replacement? I am doing this myself so any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Lucille J.

Not only could the thickness of this spline be incorrect for your replacement but it could also be too deep. The only way to find the replacement spline that you need is to take apart the shower door panel.

Does this spline require adhesive? The one I am replacing is a clear vinyl which I am not able to find, will this spline work OK, it is the right size.

If the dimensions of the 59-215 shower door spline match the spline you are replacing, it should work. No adhesive is used with this type of spline.
