17" Series 600 Spiral Tilt Window Balance

This is a Series 600 balance, considered the most popular spiral tilt balance in the industry and used in aluminum and vinyl tilt-in windows. It moderates the operation of your window sash to allow the window to stay open when raised.

• This balance has a 17" long metal tube. When determining the length only measure the metal tube.
• The strength you need should be indicated as a color tip at the end of your old metal tube. If you do not see a color tip weigh your sash on a scale and refer to the chart below.
• The metal tube measures 9/16" in diameter, but it is considered 5/8" in the trade, and houses an internal spiral rod with double pins.
• Can work for either the left or right side of the window interchangeably.
• Spiral window balances come fully lubricated and ready to be charged.

white tip	4 to 10 lbs
red tip	6 to 19 lbs
blue tip	9 to 28 lbs
black tip	29 to 40 lbs
