I have a broken spring balance for my PGT window.
I have managed to extract the broken balance and taken some photos.
Based on your web site I think it matches your Series 395.
The top appears to be the same as your 19-005.
The shoe appears to be the same as your 15-001.
The length of the metal housing is 24 in.
The width of the metal housing is 9/16.
The broken spring balance has the following marking:

I agree, our Series 395 looks like a good match, especially if the dimensions of the nylon attachments all match up.

1. The markings did not get posted to your site.
The balance spring marking is:
"23DS", then a sideways "BS", then "HM30"
2. What do you mean nylon fittings?
3. what do you mean "dimensions". I am unable to locate any dimensions on your web site for the "top" and for the "shoe". From what I can see on your web site the top appears to be the 19-005 and the shoe appears to match your 15-001.
Can you confirm: Series 395, top 19-005, shoe 15-001, 24 inch length, and then the final specification is the load bearing capability based on the marking. Can you help with the load bearing capability decoding based on my marking and match it with your part.
thanks,

Thanks for getting back to us. Yes, the nylon fittings for the Series 395 are the 15-001 and 19-005. You can find their dimensions on their respective store pages, or even on the S395-24 store page.
I'm not sure about that stamp. I recommend that you weigh your sash to confirm which of our options can work. We have a chart on the S395-24 store page that shows each option and how much weight they can support. All you need to do is match up your sash weight to one of those. If your sash is heavier than what we show, let me know.

Tom,
Thanks for the quick response.
Ok, I got the window out. It weighs exactly 30 lbs.
Two new S395-24-2360 should work for a 30 lb window.
Is that correct?
thanks,
Mike

Yep, 2360 is perfect for 30 pound sashes.
