1.25 vs. 1.5 diameter wheel on closet slider? Is there much difference?

A home owner from Redondo Beach says:
Can you replace with 1.25 wheels instead of 1.5 wheels if the distance looks about the same?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

So, this kind of roller has an adjustment screw in the back that raises and lowers the housing as it rests in the door. What this means is that you can actually get away with a bit of a difference in wheel diameter as long as you adjust the roller to make up the difference. That way the door isn't sitting too low in the track.

That said, we're talking about a 1/4" difference here. That's kinda big. It might be pushing it, but if you aren't able to find the size you need then it may be worth a shot.
