Hi - I need a replacement for a " 32-12 IH5 CMC 5" window balance. I would also like an appropriate balance to window sash weight chart as I don't feel the window weighs as much as the 32-12 is designed to handle. Thank you!

Hello there. We may be able to help, but that stamp only tells us the strength of the balance, not its identity. Can you remove it from the window and show us pictures of the fittings or attachments on either end? That will help us narrow down what you need. Did you have trouble keeping the open prior to the balances breaking? If so that would indicate the balances are too strong, but to be safe, please give us the exact weight of the window sash and we'll try to work out what you need.

Here is a photo. I would like to purchase this exact part to replace. There were no issues with the window before this part broke.

What you have here is a special type of balance configuration that isn't sold as a stock product. As such, it will have to be a custom order. I get the feeling Bob was already anticipating that, which is why he asked for so much information.
