39-422 Question

A handy person from USA says:

I need a 4" extension for a gray aluminum window crank. The only identifier is a number (45054) underneath in the recessed of the handle. The 39-422 looks ideal but is only 2". Do you have this in 4"?Many thanksPhilip

The 39-422 only comes in 2", I'm afraid. Could you attach two together to make up the 4"? Also, keep in mind that this extension is only for operators with a 3/8" spline. Make sure your operator takes that size.

Thanks. I feared as much. With the male piece of the spline not easily accessible and the female piece recessed 3/4 of an inch or more in the handle that have managed to remove, I'm unable to measure the difference between a 3/8/ spline and a 5/16th spline so I guess I'll take plunge and order one of the 39-422s to confirm the correct diameter and then a 2nd one if it fits. Thanks!
