58-042 weatherstripping with adhesive back?

A quick learner from Torrington CT says:
I want to install this around an interior door to my garage, just behind the door. It will sit on the framing which is only 1/4 inch wide. I have used a rubber weatherstrip 3/8 wide by 3/16 thick and this is just a tiny bit too thick. Does this size come with a self sticking backing? If not, how do you suggest I attach it to the framing? I need to be sure it does not push the door forward so I can lock it easily. Thank you.

The only adhesive wool pile we have is the 58-026. I think it would be too thick, however. The 58-042 should be thin enough to have give for the door. I would use staples to install it. I wouldn't advise using glue because it could be a mess. I would also recommend stopping by your local hardware store before you order to look over what they suggest.
