Adhesive for 55-183

A quick learner from USA says:
I purchased 55-183 weather stripping from your company. Can you suggest what you to use to hold the weather stripping in the window groove on the window frame? Some type of caulking? If so what kind? Should the caulking or whatever be put in the groove or on the outside flat part? On the edging before it bends into the groove?

Tom from SWISCO responded:
The 55-183 should fit into the frame without anything holding it in. Was your older weatherseal held in with adhesive? The 55-183 should just push into the slot.
A quick learner says:
It fits in but is loose and slides down. Does not fit in groove snug like we thought it would

Tom from SWISCO responded:
It shouldn't slide down, that's for sure. Are you sure the 55-183 is the proper replacement option? How was the old seal held down? Could we see a picture of the old seal? That might help us find a better match.
