Awning window crank

A handy person from Florida says:

New shutters have my Awning window crank hitting the frame. I tried a Jalousie T handle in size 5/16 (too small) and 3/8 which now hits the housing instead.what can you recommend? Is there a T handle that will work. The windows are from 1978

Thanks for posting. Can you show me a picture of what you have now? Can you also confirm what spline size you need? Did the 3/8" fit well other than when it hit the sill?
