Balance springs

Question

Good day,

Two single hung windows that are the same size.

Window 1 has 2 balances that are the same, annotated 25-5.

Window 2 has one spring above and one annotated 26-5.

Balances (3) 25-5 have pvc shavings.

Balance 26-5 has no pvc shavings and appears stronger: channels edges are rolled over, pulley connections are stronger.

I would prefer to purchase ones similar to 26-5.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We may be able to supply these balances, but they both look to have special configurations, so they'll very likely have to be custom made. Before we go any further though I will need more photos.

To start with, please show me a clear picture of the top end and bottom end of each balance. I'd also like a picture of the metal clip at the end of each cord since I can't quite make yours out. Finally, how many of each did you need?

You also mentioned pvc shavings for each balance, but I am not sure what the importance of that is. Are you suggesting that one of these balances is not the proper replacement for the window? If so, that might be a problem. That's not something I can confirm from my end, so you may ultimately have to make a decision as to which one to go with.
