Our double hang window balance is broken. String is broken off.
Metal part length is 26" Description is 25 4 JS CARDWELL. Would you please identify this and advise me availability, price and postage. Our home is 21 years old. Windows are difficult to open up. Thank you for your help. We have 13 windows in our home.

Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S380-26 or S385-26, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

Depth of bottom shoe is longer than 1". It about 1 1/16". So I assume it is 1 3/32". Thank you.

Yep, that sounds right to me. Odds are that it was 1-3/32" originally and wore down overtime from use and friction.

To order S385-26 channel balance. Could you tell me which stamp option should I select? How can I find out sash weight?

Since your old stamp was "25 4" then you can use our 2540 option. If you wanted to confirm by getting your sash weight, though, then you'll have to physically weigh it. Any bathroom scale should do.
